The Young Grower Alliance will sponsor a workshop on February 1st, 2010 featuring Ann Dugan from the University of Pittsburgh’s Center for Entrepreneurial Excellence. Ann is an accomplished author, lecturer, and family business consultant who founded the Family Enterprise Center within the University. She has over 20 years of experience researching, developing, and writing in the area of family business.
The transition workshop will be held at the Hershey Lodge, in connection with the 2010 Mid-Atlantic Fruit & Vegetable Convention. This session will not just be for the youngest generation on the farm, but for all individuals within a family business. The 3 hour session will be preceded by a lunch to be held in the same room as the workshop. Ms. Dugan intends to make this an interactive, discussion-based educational experience for all of those who attend. Keep an eye out for the workshop registration form in future issues of PA Fruit News and other trade publications.
